COOPERATION
The Agriom Hibiscus rosa-sinensis breeding programme is done in a partnership with our 4 fellow Hibiscus Group members. Our breeding results are being marketed under the brand name ‘Sunny Cities’. The production and market knowledge of the members in combination with our technical expertise resulted in excellent releases.
FOCUS
Our breeding objectives and selection criteria are: suitable production characteristics for the production in Northern Europe and Southern Europe, combined with an excellent flower presentation in a beautiful color range, plant shape and branching.
The production under more extreme temperature and light conditions has been added as selection criterion. In Latina, Italy, home of group member Piante Keicher, clones are being tested and selected.
